...to continue my #introduction, I have grown quite tired of the self-important movements of the day; the group-centric non-think that has permeated so much of our current culture that draws importance upon characteristics, some claimed but mostly immutable. I cannot watch an honest discussion between humans unfold without some other person popping in and calling one or all of the people talking some sort of 'phobe. It's intellectually lazy and emotionally undeveloped.
To define what Mastodon is, I will borrow from Wikipedia: "Mastodon is a free and open-source self-hosted social networking service. It allows anyone to host their own server node in the network, and its various separately operated user bases are federated across many different servers. These nodes are referred to as "instances" by Mastodon users." What you have found @ freedomtothink.social is one such instance of the greater Mastodon collective where the focus is on light moderation, no heavy-handed thought-policing, and the freedom to have a respectful conversation.
