...to end out my #introduction, I will simply say, this is why I went with a private instance of Mastodon. I have no intention of slandering any groups on here but I also have no intention of kowtowing to any pressures to moderate with an iron-fist. My goal with my modest instance is simply to have a space clear of wrong-though policing where one can find, well, the freedom to think. Come find me @freedomtothink.social
To define what Mastodon is, I will borrow from Wikipedia: "Mastodon is a free and open-source self-hosted social networking service. It allows anyone to host their own server node in the network, and its various separately operated user bases are federated across many different servers. These nodes are referred to as "instances" by Mastodon users." What you have found @ freedomtothink.social is one such instance of the greater Mastodon collective where the focus is on light moderation, no heavy-handed thought-policing, and the freedom to have a respectful conversation.
